First week India

We're in Dharamsala (India) now. Residence of the Dalai Lama in exile. Nice mountain area and relief after all this heat in Dehli and Amritsar. Huub is sick in bed now, probably a bacterial infection after eating chicken. Just got broad spectrum antibiotics for him (you can get it without prescription here!) so hopefully he will recover soon now. We'll stay here a couple of days and then travel on to Manali where we will meet Rene who will join us there from Nepal. We saw some beautiful things already! Especially the Golden Temple of the Sikhs in Amritsar (black bearded men with knifes and swords, looking like sea robbers...) taking a bath in the holy water there, impressive! And the Waga Border (closing border ceremony near the Pakistan border), hilaric... Reminded me to the 'Ministery of Silly Walks' of Monthy Python.....
